Thanks to NEVA's Business Development activity, our start-up CYBERINT organized its first Marketing event on the Italian market dedicated to the state of the art and market trends of Cybersecurity.
The event, attended by 50 leading companies such as Carrefour, Edison, EssilorLuxottica, Italgas, Percassi and Pirelli, was appreciated by customers for the value and the high-level content presented, helping Cyberint's positioning in the cybersecurity scenario.
ENTRY INTO NEW MARKETS
Thanks to our Business Development activity, one of our most promising start-ups, CORO, has signed its first commercial distribution agreement on the Italian market with Exclusive Networks, a European leader in cybersecurity services with a turnover in 2023 of over €5 billion and offices in 45 countries.
This milestone has already allowed CORO, during a roadshow that touched 4 Italian cities, to meet over 110 potential partners and has facilitated the company's entry into the French and Spanish markets.

Alberto has over 15 years of experience in Investment Banking, specializing in M&A and Equity Capital Markets.
He has been working at Neva since its inception as a CVC in 2017, oversaw the launch of Neva SGR’s funds in 2020, and completed the first exit of the Neva First fund with the cybersecurity company, Cyberint.
In his role as Partner, he is responsible for the investments in the UK and the Middle East markets focusing specifically on two areas: climate tech, with an emphasis on carbon capture and renewable energy, and digital transformation, focusing on cybersecurity, high-performance computing, and artificial intelligence.

Neva SGR participated in the round together with industrial investors, further validating the appeal of Cool Planet’s compact, low-energy and low-cost membrane-based carbon capture solution.

xFarm Technologies successfully closes a €36 million Series C round
09/10/2024 - Neva SGR is thrilled to announce that xFarm, a company in the portfolio of Neva First and Neva First Italia Funds, has completed its 36 million euro Series C investment round.
xFarm supports the work of 450,000 farms belonging to more than 100 supply chains on more than 7 million hectares worldwide through its xFarm digital platform, a Farm Management Information System (FMIS).

01/02/2024 - Neva SGR is excited to announce its investment in NeoPhore, a UK-based life sciences company, which is developing a pipeline of small molecule drugs targeting novel proteins across the DNA mismatch repair ('MMR') pathway to generate next-generation immuno-oncology therapeutics to improve clinical outcomes for cancer patients. The company announced an extension of its Series B round of £9.6 million (approximately USD $12.2 million). This extension brings the total raised in Series B financing to £31.1m (approx. USD $39.5m).
The additional Series B funding will be used to progress NeoPhore’s lead oral program, through early pre-clinical development.

Yesterday, November 14, 2023, the first conference of the biotechnology sector between Italy and the United States took place in Rome at the Farnesina, with the title “Italy – United States of America: International Cooperation on Emerging Biotechnologies and Life Science” and the aim of supporting "Made in Italy" innovation and strengthening the relationship with international stakeholders (VC funds, crossovers, retail investors, analysts, banks, media, institutional stakeholders).
The conference was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani, U.S. Ambassador to Italy Jack Markell, Minister for Business and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini, Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci.

During her speech, Liliana discussed NEVA's investment thesis, which is based on the convergence of artificial intelligence and biotech. On last September 13, 2023, Neva SGR hosted the
"Neva First Fund: Route to Growth 23" event at the OGR offices in Turin.
More than 260 people attended the event, with a huge participation from Corporations, Portfolio Companies and Intesa Sanpaolo Group representatives.

08/08/2023 - The Neva First Italia Fund, launched in November 2021, completed on 30 June, 2023 its investment period, ahead of the closing date scheduled for August 2025.
The Fund, subscribed by Neva SGR and Fondo di Fondi VenturItaly and Fondo di Co-Investimento MiSE, and fully managed by CDP Venture Capital SGR and dedicated to highly innovative Italian startups, made a total of 7 million euros of investments in 9 startups, favoring the total collection by the 9 Italian startups of over 160 million euros, 33 of which coming from the Neva First Fund, Neva SGR's vehicle for investments at a global level.

On September 14, 2022, Neva hosted in Turin more than 500 participants including venture capitalists, institutional and private investors, experts, entrepreneurs and start-ups from all over Italy and several other countries, primarily the United States and Israel.
It was an opportunity to tell about the work that led to investments in 26 companies with a total allocated amount of about 150 million euros since 2020, the results achieved by the fundraising of our funds for 250 million for investments in innovative realities, and the plans for a new even greater sized fund planned for 2024.
